RAFA Local Branch

The local branch RAFA Angus meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Newton Hotel ,51 Glamis Road Kirriemuir  at 19.30 - 21.30hrs.
Telephone number (01382 732664)  Either we have a speaker or probably more frequently a video/dvd targeted on aircraft of specific interest to the members. This is followed by coffee/tea and assorted biscuits and general discussion about the olden days and activities related to the ATC .

How you can help. This year we have a specific target to deploy collection tins in a variety of shops/businesses. If you know of a shop that would be willing to take one of our tins they will be entered into our Hall of Fame page identifying the business and a link to their web site if they have one. Many other forms of fund collection will be established  over the year and your suggestions would be more than welcome.

Initial contact can be made on 01382 732664  (a) how to join. (b) how to make a donation (C) remembering us in your will. (d) how to contribute if you are a tax payer so that the maximum benefit can be achieved by RAFA. (e) How to get a collection tin. (f) At funerals many people like to make a donation to a charity (RAFA) rather than flowers.(g) Welfare looking after people who have served in the RAF and need assistance. More information will appear on the contact info page as soon as I have it.

Angus RAFA has a number of people registered with RAFA that for many reasons don’t come to any of the meetings. We know that some of the reasons may be distance, ill health inability to travel or they just don’t like meetings. From my research in other parts of the country I have found that the number of people who now have the internet at home has dramatically increased in recent years allowing people to communicate with long lost associates who would love to talk to you. We want to hear from you. Just click on the e-mail sticker to your left and let us have your views. It is more than likely that a guest book will be added so that you can see feedback from other members and friends of the association. How this site develops totally depends on local participation, your contribution would be greatly appreciated.
